Spelljammer Converting Spelljammer creatures

Until we come up with something better? ;)

If you can come up with something better! :p

Ugh. To what gain? It serves NO purpose outside of epic dragon (where it serves next to no purpose). :.-(

I just liked the emphasis it places on them BEING REALLY BIG. If the idea brings you to tears I don't mind just calling it Colossal.

We can work 'em up that way, and if they seem to redundant, roll 'em together later.

Agreed.

Couldn't we just modify the draeden's Gaping Maw? (Ever notice how contemporaneous conversions tend to influence each other a lot?)

I'm with Cleon on C+. It's not a big deal.

Well, then,

Death Throes (Ex): When it dies, a nay-churr explodes, dealing 10d10?? points of fire damage to creatures that it has swallowed whole and 5d10?? points of damage to any creature within 200 ft. Creatures outside the nay-churr's stomach may make a DC X Reflex save for half damage.

I was already wondering about using that.

That'd do. Although I'm not sure it does enough damage...

Good idea on gaping maw. And yeah, the death throes should probably be boosted.

I'm still strongly opposed to Colossal+, especially since I can't put 'em in the CC if we use it (the entry tool doesn't include that "size category", which isn't an issue for the places it might actually fit, since epic dragons would go in under the true dragon template anyway).

I wish they'd come up with an actual useful bigger-than-Colossal size category, like the unfortunately-named "Awesome" in Spelljammer: Shadows of the Spider Moon. Now that one was mechanically different.

Might as well put Gaping Maw in the Homebrew then. Maybe change the Death Throes to d12s?

I thought we'd agreed on plain old Colossal.

They should have called it "Stupendous to the Max". ;)

Yes, plain Colossal it was.

Boosting death throes to d12s and/or adding more dice is fine. I just took the original monster's values.
