Seriously, that's a really cool board. If someone made a hinged version (so that it could be folded in four) with a 1" grid, they'd make a pretty penny.

Not too weird a thought, I thought the exact same thing. I believe I saw it once in the mid to late 80's at a "Wargamers Weekend", which was a semi-annual local convention held in Newburyport, Mass sponsored by The Toy Soldier.

PS, I married a gamer too - one of the best things I've ever done.
 

Holy living crap, that thing's cool! Tell your son to pass along the message that this here California boy will pay top dollar for one of those with 1" squares.
