Two incredible finds:
Asylum from Clockworks (180 pages, 20 USD). The entire world has gone insane, pushed over the edge by some freak natural disasters. Its really a great setting, simple rules that use matched pairs of colored marbles (which really fit the setting; "I've lost my marbles."). Its nicely presented in a way that allows both comical Paranoia style quirkiness or dark, grim, Jason Felix style madness.
Iron Kingdoms Character Guide (400 pages, 40 USD). I had purchased the Monsternomicon a while ago. Great little monster book. So I had figured that the core book would probably be decent as well. I was wrong. Now, I'm not a big fan of steampunk, but this is perhaps the best damn RPG book I've ever seen. The artwork is beautiful and the prose is masterful. This is one of the few cases in RPG history where a designer's vision was fully realised. Can't wait for the World Guide now.
