Oreius and the rhino's charge into the Witch's army as Peter's army is retreating... I love how Oreius takes out Otmin and that awesome attack against the Witch... futile as it was. The scenes of all these different creatures locked in combat was just great... and you just have to love the Beavers. Great movie.

The White Witch in her polar bear drawn chariot really impressed me. It just came off as a very primal, even pagan, image.

I liked the fact that the White Witch wore Aslan's shaved mane as a necklace for the battle, believing she had won a great victory by killing him.

D'oh! I wondered what the heck that was about her neck!

The White Witch was the coolest moment for me. From her first appearance to her last I loved every minute she was on screen. The calm facade that was so often broken by her boundless rage, her extraordinary skill with sword & scepter, just wonderful.

I loved the Peter vs. White Witch fight. Of course, its not too often you get to see a good sword/board fighter anymore. Everyone's too caught up in the 'cool' dual wielding and all that...:p

While I did vote the dual-wielding centaur, there were tons of scenes that I found to be just great... but indeed, the "money shot" (as John Crichton puts it) of the centaur drawing his two blades in full charge was enough to make both me, the Mrs, and a bunch people around us to quietly say "whoa...".

Other notable moments: a full-on centaur cavalry charge, and freaking Tilda Swinton dual-wielding a sword and wand (and then later, two swords).

The centuar money shot was great. I also enjoyed The White Witch entering battle by dispersing the flames and her general fight choreography with the wand and sword was suprisingly well done.

The most dissappointing thing for me: Not being able to see Susan go to town with that bow. (although the bullseye dagger shot from Lucy was great). So yeah, I wanted to see Susan go all Legolas on some badies. Sue me.
And, as usual, I totally agree with you.

I'd have to say my personal favorite was seeing the griffon swoop overhead for the first time, and realizing how realistic and convincing it looked.

But I also really enjoyed when the White Witch arrived for the battle in her chariot drawn by polar bears, and her dual sword technique - I'm going to have to remember that scissor-like move she kept making.

The White Witch in battle was seriously bad-a**. That actress had scary-sexy down cold (pun intended), and her fight choreography was really, really cool. The character and the portrayal gave the movie a heft that made it much more than a children's movie, as befits the source.

As for coolest visual, though? I'm leaning towards the shot of Lucy looking at Mr. Tumnus' bookshelf and seeing beautifully leather-bound volumes of books with titles like "Are Humans Real?" A really nice, subtle touch.
