The White Witch was really cool, pretty much all the way through the movie. :)

The centaur was alright, the rhino was much cooler, altho it went down a bit fast. ;)

Actually, for me it was the leopards pulling out front in the charge. It starts out in the classic wedge formation with Peter at the apex and then the leopoards pull ahead as if to say, "No, this is not just an idealized dramatic oil painting of a battle - this is gonna get nasty and we're the ones who'll see to that."

One of my favorite lines was when St. Nicholas is pulling away in his sleigh, and Lucy turns to her siblings and says, "I told you he was real!"

I hated the "I told you he was real" scene. I don't want to have that conversation with my kids right after that movie, I want to talk about the movie.

To me, it was when the music stopped, and the heartbeat was the soundtrack as they rushed into battle. It didn't matter, particularly, what was on the screen then. Great sound.

The White Witch in battle was seriously bad-a**. That actress had scary-sexy down cold (pun intended), and her fight choreography was really, really cool. The character and the portrayal gave the movie a heft that made it much more than a children's movie, as befits the source.

Agreed.
Tilda Swinton was absolutely marvelous, as always.

The whole of the Great Battle was wonderful to watch. The White Witch, the Gryphons, the centaurs, the animals charging in, was fantastic.

However, what stood out for me was the unexpected "D&D Menagerie" around Aslan's cruci-er, sacrifice. Harpies, Cyclops, Minotaurs, Beast-men - I was crying for a D&D movie that featured all these things at this point. Every special effect needed for a kick-butt D&D movie exists out there, pre-modeled, and waiting for use, but it's spread though about half a dozen movies and three porduction companies.

Ah, well. If I never get my blockbuster-awesome D&D movie, I've got about six pieces to be insanely happy with, and add to my collection.

The realism to the Beaver interactions was beautiful to watch. As critical eye as I could, I couldn't find a flaw with the CGI in those scenes.

Yay, finally someone else who mentions the leopards. The sword fight with Peter v. the White Which looked a little cheezy to me in some spots, or else that woulda been my favorite moment, well, MAYBE.

From their slim frames and facial stripes I believe they were cheetahs actually. I took their racing ahead of the main force as a nod to the fact that cheetahs were simply the fastest land animals on the field. When I saw that scene I just nodded happily at the realism of it. :)
