Kurt's gotta go...

Description
Kurtulmak appears as a 5-foot tall kobold with steel scales. He exudes an aura of fear, causing foes to flee in panic.

Clergy and temples
Kurtulmak's priests wear orange scale mail and iron helms. His sacred animal is the rook.

Trivia
Kurtulmak means "to escape" in Turkish.

Kurtulmak tirelessly drives kobolds to make war upon gnomes, for a prank the gnomish deity Garl Glittergold pulled on him. Glittergold is said to have collapsed Kurtulmak's hall while the kobold deity was hosting Asmodeus. Kurtulmak is known to have neither compassion or a sense of humour.

Come on... a giant 5' tall kobold, who's priests wear scalemail, that everyone runs in fear from? I think not.

Die, Vecna, Die!

Which, as we all know, is German for "The, Vecna, the."

I like Vecna. Or rather, I think the D&D pantheon needs a sinister evil god to balance out the blatantly in-your-face evil gods like Erythnul and Yondalla.

I agree. I just don't think Vecna was the guy for the job. I really like him better as an ancient lich who may or may not have been destroyed, or at most a demigod.

And there were plenty of other evil gods to choose from in the Greyhawk pantheon: Incabulos, Pyremius, Syrul, Tharizdun, or--if you want to include demigods--Iuz and Wastri. While some of these are equally "in your face" as Erythnul, many of them--particularly Pyremius, Syrul, and Iuz--are very much sinister and subtle.

I voted for Lolth. She underwent a name change from Llolth to Lolth, detests her own worshippers, and killed my magic-user in the Queen of the DemonWeb Pits adventure when my AP history teacher was DM during a Spring Break class trip to Williamsburg, Virginia.

Once she is gone, I'll vote for Vecna.

I agree with this. I like Vecna being more of a legend of the past than a present-day being.

But she only had 88 hit points! We killed her without much problem, but then again we were armed with lightsabers and I had a laser-blasting flying orb. Ah, those were the days...

So do the right thing and dedicate your votes to getting rid of him?

Don't you know the WotC Overlords watch these polls for the direction to take our favorite settings?! ;)
