[sblock=OOC]Again, my apologies, guys. This past week has been almost hellish, and the coming weeks will only be more of the same. Not helping that I think I'm coming down with something. Still, I shall try to push on.[/sblock]
Cayla is the last to enter, looking at R.C. for a moment before a fleeting smile appears. Then she slides into the pilot seat, starting up the transport and running through a checklist she has committed to memory. "Strap yourselves in, if you haven't already," she calls back. "Hopefully I've worked out the kinks, so the ride won't be too bumpy." A brief pause. "That, by the way, was an attempt at humor."
The lift beneath the speeder truck ascends, moving from the confines of the cell base of operations into the hangar area reserved for the Seventh Heaven Cantina. Once the lift locks into place, Cayla flips a switch, and the hangar door opens.
The trip is uneventful, though it takes nearly twenty minutes to reach the Gentech facility itself -- mostly because Cayla has just enough of a paranoid streak (and in Sector, who doesn't?) to take side routes on a couple of occasions, moving between three different major traffic flows before settling into position.
Upon reaching the objective, Cayla begins to ascend towards the rooftop, flipping another switch. The dull roar of the speeder truck suddenly goes silent, and the interior goes dark. Moments later, the transport comes to a stop, and Cayla hits the hover switch, unstrapping and sliding out of the pilot seat. Moving towards the rear of the truck, where the computer rig is, she taps a small panel, bringing down the syntherope liquid chamber and opening the floor beneath it.
She pulls out a couple of small discs, and hands them to Cyd. "Just stick the disc in. I have a tracer program that will allow me to access the mainframe." She then looks around. "I'll be manning the boards, as it were. The sensor mask and stealth runners I installed on the transport should keep me safe enough. Good luck, be careful, and try to come back in one piece." She gestures towards the syntherope liquid chamber as she moves back to her computer rig, taking a seat and bringing the system online. "The ventilation system will shut down in two minutes -- standard operating procedure for Gentech. Get ready, and I'll give you the signal once the vents shut down."
