Corporate Defiance

Vincent nods to Cyd "Armor is great and all, but not getting shot at in the first place is allot better. I'm sure you all know that in this line of work, revealing yourself is a bad idea." he glances at Krandor momentarily, and then directs his gaze to R.C. "I thought you were an explosives expert? How do you expect to blow up the bottom sub-level of the facility by staying at the top?" He then mutters under his breath, "Where did Sector find this kid?" He turns to Cayla, "So we know they have droids... What do we know about the organic personel of this facility?"

At R.C.'s mention of splitting up, the Trandoshan gives her an odd look. "If there iss anything I have learned in my time, it is 'never ssssplit up.'" He shakes his head. "But what we 'could' do iss have the entire group go all the way to the bottom of the shaft, except for one persson who would sssslice into the computer. Then that person could rejoin the group later, after clearing the way for ussss."

[sblock=ooc]According to the plans, does it look like the server room is gaurded? If there is a chance of running into trouble it would be best to send the whole party. If it is just a matter of walking out of the vent and into the server room, it would probably pay to have the rest of the team in place when the security is dropped.

Also, is the vent shaft straight down from the roof? if it is, we're gonna need a lot of sytherope! :) [/sblock]

[sblock=OOC]The server room is guarded by droids. Organic personnel are strangely absent when it comes to security at night -- mostly because Gentech has a bit of a superiority complex because of their relationship to MarTech, not to mention the fact that it's cheaper for droid patrols and maintenance than to pay a living sentient a salary.

Bear in mind that once you breach the server room and access the mainframe via Cayla's tap device, she'll be the one accessing the mainframe, and then can guide you all through via your subcutaneous comlinks.

As far as the syntherope issue goes -- each floor will be approximately 5 meters, so the liquid cable dispensers would manage four floors before running out in normal circumstances. However, Sector did make a bit of an innovation, creating a larger dispenser for use in situations like this, increasing the potential length of the liquid cable tenfold to 200 meters. So that won't be a problem.

Also of note: Sub-Level 7, strangely enough, is separated by the equivalent of ten floors from the rest of the facility -- the elevator shaft is the only umbilical connecting Sub-Level 7 to the facility proper. As such, the explosion will destroy the entire sub-level, although it likely will not affect much in the way of the rest of the facility, other than damaging the shaft leading down from the facility to Sub-Level 7. I should have put in that in the original mission briefing, so my apologies there. Bloodweaver, if you want to edit that comment from R.C. about potentially damaging the floors above it, feel free to do so.[/sblock]

"Living sentients work normal business hours," answers Cayla. "The intelligence Sector has received concerning Sub-Level 7 has a longer work day, but will be cleared out by the time we move into position and begin the operation."

Cydarius

"Since we don't have to worry about dealing with sentients, I say we all make our insertion from the roof. Take control of the security station, and then make our way to sub-level 7."

Krandor slowly loses interest in the discussion. He leans back, and mutters to himself."Go in, hit the server driods quickly, get the the elevetor, set the bombs, blow the place as we leave." At each mental point he taps his claw on the wall, as if for emphasis. He straightens, and then interjects into the conversation. "As long as we can kill 2 unsheilded droidekas, there shouldn't be much of a problem. I would think you humans with only a blaster pistol should get a bigger gun." Here he cracks a big, sharp-looking grin. "Either that, or get a ton of ion grenades."

Rath smiles at the trandoshan. "You making up for some kind of inadequacy with that big gun of yours, Krandor?" Patting his trusty T-6, the human offers a shrug. "And I'm willing to bet that my 'little gun' here is every bit as good at taking down droidekas as your rifle."

With a guttural bark, Krandor shows his amusment at Rath's comment. "You think ssssso, human? Perhapss you'd be willing to placce a little wager on thisss." He pulls a small credit chip from his sleeve pocket. "Fifty creditss saysss I do twicce the damage with Mjolnir asss you do with your blasster." Gambling seems to be one of the Trandoshan's favorite pastimes.

Cydarius grins at the trandoshan. "You, my friend, have a bet. Fifty credits."

OOC: Hopefully we get paychecks from Sector, since my PC has exactly 0 credits to his name. :D
