It's kinda a pet peeve, but I'm always really irritated when there's a horizontal scroll bar when there's no reason for it. It makes it more irritating to read while scrolling around with the mouse, since the text moves side-to-side as well as up-and-down, and looks unprofessional
Making it about sixteen to twenty pixels shorterhorizontally would stop a computer with a 1024 pixel resolution from having that pointless little horizontal scroll bar. There's easily that much excess in black space between icons.
It looks like the web designer wanted to make it fit exactly 1024 pixels, but forgot to take into account the horizontal space taken up by the vertical scroll bar. Easy mistake to make (one I've made a couple times myself).
