Coup de grace vs. full attack

Diaglo, Pick Pocket his holy symbol before attacking him, he shouldn't be able to oppose you since he has to make a Spot roll with his eyes closed. :D Then you're save from spell retaliation and can CdG and Sneak him as you like.

his holy symbol is his Breastplate.

example... sleeping human in +2 mithril breastplate dex 14(+2) +2 hvy shield = AC 23 is now +2 mithril breastplate dex 0(-5) = AC 12

you ever tried sleeping in a metal breastplate and shield????

the mithril breastplate has Armor check penalty of minus 1. it is light armor.

so he can sleep in it.

he has two craft feats:

craft armor and weapons

and craft wondrous...

so he made his armor into his holy symbol to prevent Sundering/ Theft...

more a metagame rxn than an actual threat by the DM.

Dragon Bile, Contact DC26, 3d6str (1), 0 (2), 1500gp
Purple Worm Poiosn, Injury DC24, 1d6str (1), 2d6str (2), 700gp

You could try putting something on the blade before CdG'ing him.
If Fiddle doesn't have anything on hand, the drow may have some. ;)

Plus, you might want to try the battle axe too.
Lightning Strike doesn't deal much in the way of damage and sneak attack/critting with the battle axe should put you near to over the top.

3d8 = 13.5
4d6 = 14
27.5 +10 =DC37

My feelings are that this may break one of the cardinal rpg rules. To deal with out of game conflicts, out of game.

Would you tell the player a minute or two before your plans, so you know you're not hurting feelings?

why 4d6 ?

i'm thinking 3d8 for the crit battle axe
2d6 for sneak attack and 1d6 for shock damage
plus (+2 magic + 1 str) X 3 = +9

so 13.5 + 10.5 + 9 = 33 +10 = DC 43

what out of game conflict? i was thinking of helping wrap up a loose end since the player can't make it to weekend sessions anymore due to his new job.
