Coup de grace

If you use a standard action to do a "coup de grace" on an unconscious target and hit, you do critical damage.
How will an attack power function on a coup de grace when it uses multiple attack rolls? e.g. Blade Cascade (ranger lvl 15)

A: Consider all connecting attack critical. (Because the attacks made is part of the standard action, thus a single action)

B. The first attack crits as normal. The succeeding attacks are rolled normally as the target becomes conscious on the first hit.

C: None of the above. Something else. Please enlighten.

If B, Do you still slay the target outright if you deal damage equal to or greater than target's bloodied value? (because your action is a coup de grace)

When do you deal damage? After every hit or after resolving the attack power?

How do you normally do damage? Some powers may allow you to switch targets mid attack... the rest are up to the DM.

Good question.

If the unconscious target has that condition due to a magical/special effect (e.g. sleep spell) it will not wake up after the first attack, and not after the last one, or maybe never ever again.

So let's assume a sleeping creature which would wake up after first taking damage.

Your first hit is a crit and might outright slay the target.
We assume it will survive that attack.
Will the target be awake now? - Going strictly by the rules yes because waking up is not an action at all, so it can happen during another creatures action. Your following attacks will still benefit from your target being prone (I assume that most unconscious creatures will be prone) but not helpless.

Interesting... and brutal. A rogue MC ranger does a coup de grace as a standard action using blade cascade. Assuming all of blade cascade attacks hit, that's 10[W] max damage on whatever weapon you use, adding the extra damage done by hunter's quarry and sneak attack which is also maxed (plus whatever heinous bonuses you can add in).

/me faints. (nobody coup de grace me)
