Cowboy Cthulhu

synecdoche

First Post
Can anyone suggest some references for running a Cthulhu campaign based in the old west? I have found an adventure or two which sound interesting but not much else. Obviously I will take a good look at the 1890s information but was wondering if anybody else had tried to do such a campaign and if so, what their experiences were, and what they developed for it.

I was going to use Chaosium's Call of Cthulhu but if there is Cthulhu d20 stuff around, I'd like to look at that, too.

Thanks for any and all assistance.

The first thing I thought when I saw this thread title was "Ugh, don't tell me someone wants to combine Cowboy Bebop with Call of Cthulhu."

If you can find it, there was a dime novel adventure for Deadlands a few years ago called "Adios A-Mi-Go!" which detailed the plot by some mi-go to enslave a nearby town from a mine. Pretty good stuff. Other books that might be good would be:

Sidewinder- a d20 Western game
Deadlands- the non-d20 version has lots more info and atmosphere
Great Old Ones- a BRP CoC adventure book with 2 adventues set in Arizona and the West

Actually, Cthulhu Bebop would be a better title for that nightmare anyway. Syndoche, you might get better results in the d20 Games forum.

Demiurge out.
