Many years ago, I had a player comment on how some of my names for towns and cities and natural terrain in my campaign were unimaginative (Farmtown, High Mountains, South River). When I pointed out names in our real world like Rocky Mountains, Rio Grande (Big River), White House, he still thought names in a fantasy world should be imaginative and exotic. *shrug*
