What's OMEGA? An rpg, or is it a gaming acronym I'm not aware of? Google didn't help me.

Oh, and I had to hold my monitor up to a mirror to translate the last part of your post.

Oh! You mean you don't know?! ;) Its just my word for really really awesome.(If you say it in a really deep, open throated voice you can sound like a stereotypical really powerful archvillian demonic guy. :p )

Beguiler, max ranks in all CHA skills, Sense Motive, Knowledge (Local), Knowledge (Royalty and Nobility)...high CHA, high INT, Circlet of Persuasion, Cloak of Charisma...

If it wasn't for the fact that Beguiler's gain 9 levels worth of spells, I'd say Bard or rogue with high charisma and max ranks in Sense Motive, Bluff and Diplomacy.

One level of changeling rogue with the substitution level from Races of Eberron replaces trap sense with:
1) Gather Info in 1d4+1x10 minutes instead of 1d4+1 hours
2) Sense Motive as a full-round action instead of one minute
3) Take 10 anytime on Bluff, Diplomacy, Gather Info, Intimidate, and Sense Motive

Oh yeah, you also get 10+Int skill points and one Knowledge skill of your choice as a rogue class skill.

ps - I'm having a total blast with my changeling rogue. There's some other neat stuff at 3rd and 8th levels, but the first one is just killer.

For a 1/2 Elf, there's also a nice feat in Races of Destiny: Sociable Personality. You may reroll any Diplomacy or Gather Information checks.

The Rogue route that you mention works very well in actual play, though I'd also recommend that Intimidate be bought up (see below). You'll be hosed in a combat-heavy game at low levels if you're forced to jump into the fray, though things work out. . .

My own 'face man' did a lot of running and hiding to survive at low levels. At higher levels his Bluff and Intimidate skills were pumped enough that he rarely needed to fight (which was good, 'cause he still sucked at it) -- he was able to convincingly act like a badass.
