Creating An OGC Setting

Well, I've come up with 14 so far - see the Wiki. Any suggestions for the others?

And someone called dibs on city #2. So what do you want to do with it?

I've been slammed for about a week now. This is the first quiet night I've had. So, if I can post something tonight I will.

Myself I am already put off by the deities' names
Then change them!
The names are certainly temporary IMO, and I accept your criticism that just throwing out the old temporary mnemonics and changing them to meaningless garble is pointless. I'd do it myself, but can't really afford to spend time on this at the moment. I'd certainly welcome anyone else doing this.

Cheers,
Yair

New Members

We have new members in the Wiki, which is great, but for some reason I had to approve them - which I didn't for Turanil and Jurgen.
Can someone of the new members tell me how they registered, so I can see what's the difference?

Thanks,
Yair

I did mention the Wiki in a couple of other places, so I can't be sure that all are from here and reading this thread...

I much prefer (Yair's?) Hebrew names to the pseudoLatin ones, but the two aren't nessecarily mutually exclusive. Different deities can have different names in different places.

BTW, once the campaign setting has been fleshed out a little more, what about forming some committees? You could have any number of people in any number of committees, but it would mean a smaller group of people having greater control and more conformity (if that makes sense... I'm slammed too)

For example, we could have the Races committee, City committee, Gods committee or even subcommittees - the Church of Phaeton subcommittee.

Just a suggestion.

Probably a bit too early for that - right now, the Wiki has only seven members...

However, down the road, I plan to be in the "Politics" subcommittee...

Frankly, my names were just mnemonics. You can use them, of course.

As I said, I can't really contribute right now. Too much work. Maybe in a week or so.

Well, someone has started writing an article on currency. I'm glad to see that things are moving again!
Patience! This entire idea has only been here, what? A week? And Christmas is in 10 days. This is a fun idea, but it takes second place behind cleaning my house for all the people that are coming.

But it's a good article. I fixed a spelling errur.
