D&D 3.x Creature Collection II 3.5 Update A-S Complete

Good deal. I like the fact you went with Swarm. That's one of those things I wish they'd done more with when it came out as there are plenty of swarm types in the Scarred Lands.

Well I finished the C's.

Only big change is to the Carnivorous Tree.

One of the lamest monsters ever. As written (takes up 2 whole pages),. its not even a monster, but a plot device.

Basically, the ONLY way it can hurt you is if you voluntarily crawl into it's 'mouth'. Incapable of harming anybody really.

So I gave it some grab attacks, so that it was an ACTUAL monster, instead of just something druids use to execute enemies.

Well unlike it's "cousin" the Bitter Tree, Carnivous Tree isn't able to do much. But adding in grapple attacks/improved grab, good idea.

I'm up to Dreamwraith (my 'hardcopy')

First, I make pencil marks, then I type up the changes & post it.

D is a very long section. Its got all the Evil Outsiders (Daemon, Devil, Demon), which all got some tedious changes to make: Skill Points boosted up to 8+ Int Mod, Damage Reduction changes, Spell Resistance, etc.

Plus, I'm having to go back & double check for Synergy Bonuses.

I'm hoping to post another batch sometime Sunday. (Maybe through 'E').

Thanks,

Finished the D's

A few Notes:

This is the first time I've run into a lot of DR. DR has really been re-worked from 3.0 to 3.5. I tried to follow the examples in the MM, & I've got the Special materials down pat. The actual amount of DR, is still Guesswork, though I used the MM as a guideline.

Also 3.5 now has extraplanar critters just list their Climate/terrain as 'Plane of Orgin', dropping all reference to Any, Cold, Warm, Land, Plain, etc. This makes them less likely to be used in my games, so I keep the Climate/Trrain reference and add the home plane in () behind it.
