D&D 3E/3.5 Creature Collection II 3.5 Update A-S Complete

Nice work V.

Honestly though looking over Deryth, I kept feeling and still feel they should be more of a specialized template than an actual race. But that's just me. Overall most excellent work V. You should be very proud.

I especially love that little touch you added to Leonine Demons, the 2 axe special ability. VERY nice.

I considered that,

But decide to reject it on 2 grounds.

1. All the extra work.

2. Feel that the Deryth so overwhelms the host creature, that all trace of the orginal is subsumed complelty so that all that remains is the Deryth base creature.

Plus, if you allow them to be Player Characters (I have too many races to begin with, so I haven't even TOUCHED ECL yet), you can get most of the variety you'd get with a Template. Plus a Template Race lends to all sorts of complexity I really don't have the time or resources to begin to make sure is balanced.

Understood. I'm not saying you SHOULD have done this. Just that I wish someone would help me in that endevour down the road. So something else I'll have to work on my own time.

Looking forward to E and F.

If you do want some help with that, I can offer you guidance in terms of what spells via Relics and Rituals might appropriate.

I have Relics & Rituals (though not R&R II).

The main reason I won't try to come up with the Construction Costs is that I don't need to.

My current priority is getting all my monster resources entered into my Database so that I can quickly generate Random Encounters for my games.

Part of that is making sure all my monsters are 3.5. I don't need to worry about ECL or Construction costs for constructs. Now if a PC in one of my games wants to play a certain race or build a certain Construct (one of my games features Epic Characters, so its possible), I'll figure up the Construcion cost/method.

When I get my database up to date (I pretty far behind), I'll then go back & 'tighten up' my conversion documents. This is where Player stuff like construction/racial stats will come in.

At present, it looks like that could be awhile. But things might change, I'll let you know.

Understood. I just meant that if you have a question about an R&R 2 spell, I can certainly aid you there.

In any case keep up the good work.

Before any one figures out I'm an idiot, let me speak in my own defense.

The only math I've done lately is making the Sugar Water solution for my hummingbird feeder, which is 1 part sugar to 4 parts water.

In my games, I'm teaching some new palyers & have had to explain to them every week they get +1 ability score every 4 levels.

I also have a house rule that allows Rangers/Paladins to get a Domain at 4th level & clerics/druids to get a bonus domain at 4th level.

Then, while updating monsters, my wife comes in & asks: "So, what should my kobold rogue take for her 6th level feat?"

To which my mind goes: "What 6th level feat, you get one every 4 levels, just like..... Oh-oh"

OK, I screwed up & have been calculating feats at every 4 levels (like 3.0 dragons), not 1/3 levels like I should have realized if I had gotten a chance to ACTUALLY PLAY once in the last 18 months.

So, look for a complete overhaul on my next update, as the Feats listed above are all out of wack.

Plus, the dentist ripped out one of my teeth today.

Ok,

Fixed that whole feat screw-up (and some other errors I noticed).

Thank God I'm pausing to edit myself.

Nightfall, you might want to look over a creature or too & double check.

But everything should be right now.

PS. I changed the Filcher to a humanoid (and gave it an unique sub-type-Lemuroid) to make it an easy-fit PC Race choice, as well as leave it open for an entire new series of races (the lemuroids).
