things are looking good for the tubeworms. ;)

yeah BOZ, no kidding! is this thing rigged, or do people just like the tubeworms that much? :) well, the poll goes until tomorrow, and we'll see the final results then. (some of these ideas are pretty good, do you mind if i save some of the "losers" for another time?)

For another contest?

I'm probably going to do the ape-chameleon next. The stingboar and the psionic lion are probably safe for awhile. :)

don't know, but yes maybe another contest. :)
i do like the ape-chameleon - if you don't use it i will! ;)

Impressive...most impressive.

Hi all! :)

BOZ mate I have to say I am impressed (and I am not easily impressed) with these monster designs!

So much so that I can't think which is best - I am leaning towards the six-legged bear-ankylosaur beasty but its not a clear cut choice.

You have at least 10 designs there that would be a 'shoe in' to any monster book (Tome of Horrors 2 perhaps?) that I have ever seen. I hope some d20 Publisher is paying attention!?

Keep up the good work sir! :)

thanks krusty. :) they're not all mine, of course, i just collected 'em here. :) the bear-anky is my personal fave too, i'm using it somewhere or other (with ferret's permission of course) if it doesn't take 1st place here. and as far as them being in ToH2 (should such a thing ever come to exist), this is for everyone:

I HOPE SO! LOL :) that's the purpose of this "contest" after all. i'm going to post the completed creatures on blacksway's site first, and then if we ever ever get a chance to get em published, well i certainly want to, and if it's all possible to give credit for ideas when credit's due, i want to do that indeed. :)

this particular poll will conclude tomorrow (i think that's right), and then next week, we'll move on to the next part: ability scores, special abilities, and hammering out a more specific description.

Kool, I like the Scyla too, but Mine best!

The scyla is a bit weird, I've seen pictures, I can imagine The yusri(please tell me how it is spelt!!) though, very cool

Yeah another Contest would be cool - and maybe then the Bearanklysaur or Chameloape can shine as stars

right now I'm a monstrously happy man though:D

hmm... I doubt we should call it scylla, mostly because the scylla like the legends, could only be described as a legendary beast, working in tandem with the whirlpool monster Charybdis.... Of course, that's probably just me...

I'm used to being the last one called!

Well, the "gatherer" seems to have gathered the fewest votes. That's OK. What BOZ didn't mention in the description was that this creature dies after reaching 9HD. What I didn't tell BOZ (but he probably surmised) was that I imagine there are higher HD creatures in the hive that have other responsibilities. I imagine the "queen" is a mutha (no pun intended)!

I'll stat these beauties out and use them in my own campaign. Imagine I could submit them to the creatures netbook, mebbe cash in on a copy of NWN! :D
