I agree with Krish - drop the spit

Also drop Immunity to cold perhaps (as this will make it more vunerable and so lower CR) In fact we could make cold its weakness and let it leave in meditiranean:) and tropical climates

As to Skills Hide +10

Feats: Lightning Reflexes or Improved Initiative

We don't need to keep the acid spit, that's right. There are other abilities that are more important for the monster. :)
Immunity to cold is also not fitting, imho.

I'm still not sure if we really need spell-like abilities. For camouflage, I'd argue that a skill bonus for Hide would be in order. (Maybe a +10 bonus, with maxed out Hide skill, for a total modifier of +19? Likely too high, though.)

For the feat, Improved Initiative.

With poisoned tentacle attacks, we don't really need a constrict ability.

Knight: unfortunatly the creature as such would need spell-like and/or supernatural abilities, otherwise it would not be a magical beast now would it? And a magical beast is what we are making this time, is it not? Just a small point really... :D

Krishnath, I'm sorry, but I have to disagree with you. Spell-like abilities are not required to make a Beast a Magical Beast. An Intelligence higher than 2 and one or two Extraordinary abilities that are more "fantastic" are all that is needed. :)
For your reference, here is a list of Magical Beasts in the MM that have no Supernatural and no Spell-like abilities:
Digester
Giant Eagle
Giant Owl
Manticore
Remorhaz (Yes, that heat ability is Extraordinary  )
Roper
Criosphinx
Hieracosphinx
Worg

And this comes right out of the MM errata:

Magical beasts are similar to beasts but can have Intelligence scores higher than 2. Magical beasts usually have supernatural or extraordinary abilities. Unless noted otherwise, magical beasts have darkvision with a range of 60 feet and low-light vision. Example: displacer beast.

And besides, our Scylla also has Damage Reduction, which usually is a Supernatural ability, so this part is already taken care off. :)

Of course, there is nothing wrong with spell-like abilities for our monster, I just think that it does not need any. Imho, of course. :)

Cool I say drop the spell-like abilities, max out Hide Skill (camouflage) and give our beastie Frightful Appearance and a Breath Weapon - a cloud of poison vapour that causes blindness!

What's with the obession with breathweapons all of a sudden?

Tonguez: A poison-mist breathweapon is as pointless as the acid spit someone wanted, and by the same reasons. Also I do not think it should have Frightful presence, because quite frankly, it ain't that scary compared to say a beholder or mindflay. Heck it's not even as scary looking as a fleurking grick :D

Knight: Touché. Althugh, in my campaign world, a dragons DR is extraordinary :D
But I still think that it should at least have the camouflage spell-like ability. And please stop calling it scylla. It can't hold a candle to what a true scylla would be like...

Yeah I'm not too keen on a breath weapon either but thought it maybe could replace the suggested 'Blindness' spell.
Firghtful Presence is a hang over from Scylla and her yelping dogs (which caused fear)

Iagine our monster advanced to Huge or Gargantuan size - thats (almost) Scylla:)
