Creatures By Poll - Monster #3!

ok, time for monster #3. you should all know how this works now, unless you missed the first two. this third monster will be an Huge Aberration with 8-10 HD, of Chaotic Neutral alignment.
so, you will describe your idea of what the monster should be, in one or two sentences or otherwise in 40 words or less (please!). i will choose the best 10 (or so), in my opinion, and make another poll out of them (the runners up will be the "Other" option). let me explain how you will do this.
sorry if this sounds retread, but it does need to be repeated. this sentence will be the "concept" for the monster. it's best not to be too detail oriented, as we will detail it as a group. one sentence saying "this thing does this and has this kind of power" is enough. (hey, it worked for monster #2! look what we came up with from the barest of bones!) feel free, if you will, to modify and re-use an idea of yours from monster #1 or 2.
IMPORTANT: Do not name your monster! this will happen later, i promise.
common examples of aberrations include beholders, mind flayers, aboleths, nagas, ettercaps, mimics, otyughs, and will o' wisps, but "aberration" is such a broad category that it even includes weird things such as flumphs, tiraphegs, denzelians, envelopers, adherers (and half of the original fiend folio, i bet!), executioner's hoods, lurkers, vilstraks, and wolves-in-sheep's-clothing. basically, take any idea you have, and make it weird!
Some good examples of monster ideas would include the following:
"Will-o'-wisps are evil creatures that feed on the powerful emotions associate with panic, horror, and death... A will-o'-wisp is a globe of semisolid vapor about 1 foot across and weighing about three pounds... When they are forced to fight, they loose small electrical shocks, which act as normal melee attacks. (9 HD)" or
"Mind flayers... are so insidious that all denizens of the dark fear them... It's mouth, a revolting thing like a lamprey's maw, constantly drips an oily slime when it is not siphoning out the brains of living prey. (8 HD)"
also, make sure to state how many Hit Dice (8, 9, or 10) you think would be appropriate for this monster.

I haven't done a Monster By Poll (TM) before, but here goes:

A <insert name here> is believed by some to be nothing but a nursery bogie, used by parents to scare small children into behaving themselves when visiting towns and cities. However, these shadowy, stealthy creatures do exist, and do indeed feed on human flesh. (9 HD)

Highly Intelligent the body of this thing is like a gigantic placenta, a huge pulsating and quivering mass of bloody tissue sealed in a grey membrane. The thing has six tentacles and constantly oozes a viscous bloody ichor. This ichor dissolves flesh which is then absorbed through the skin-membrane as food.

this can most easily be described as a mass of writhing tentacles that floats through the air, each tentacle ending in a fanged mouth. although the creature lacks eyes, it navigates through blindsight. It nourishes itself by feeding on the bodily fluids of it's prey, leaving dessicated husks behind. It has some psionic abilities. (10 HD)

This beast (ok, aberration ) appears as a rocky, whale-like entity with a gaping maw. Apart from spitting a powerful acid, it can create and drop crystalline warriors if neccessary. While rather mindless, it does have some minor power over the flow of magical and psionic energies. (9 HD)

[Geocorona]

Short version:
This creature lies dormant as a trap, and steals attributes from an unsuspecting adventurer to temporarily increase its capabilities, rebuilding itself as a hideous mockery of its victim. Eventually, it collapses back into the dormant trap form.

Long version:
This alien aberration (AA) has all the appearances of an ooze in its dormant state, but is highly intelligent, and can sense things at a molecular level. It prefers to soak into loamy forest floors or beneath fine rubble in caverns. When a creature makes accidental contact with the AA, it will immediately drain mental power (minor temp. dam. INT, WIS & CHA) from the victim (Concentration check for each) and inflict minor hit pt. damage collecting tissue samples. If the victim has appropriate intelligence and mobility, the AA will rapidly regenerate tissue based on the victim, and burst from its hiding place within 10 rounds as a huge quivering, cancerous mass of the victim's limbs and sensory organs, many of them wildly out of proportion, and all in odd locations.

Wizard and sorcerer victims will produce a monster of 8 HD and a limited and random selection of the victims spells (material components waived due to the AA's expertise on molecular structure) all cast as 8th level spellcaster; Druid victims produce a 9 HD creature, also with random spells; and all other classes of victim produce a 10 HD creature with no extra spells.

The AA will have certain basic supernatural abilities no matter what type is generated.

is this based on FFX's Sin?

No, it's very loosely based on a creature from the SciFi series Perry Rhodan, planet(oid)-sized crystalline creatures that feeded on solar energy and random objects swallowed, capable of shooting energy rays.

 

[Ferret]

This stringy blue creature often starts small and grows on a host, slowly covering the skin, it does not take total control and works in concert with the other creature.It ends up covering the whole host, and crystalises forming a hard shell. It gives the host a variety of powers in exchange of Sustentence. After a few weeks the main creature changes to size large then huge, becomeing 1 insepperable body, but it has two minds. 9hd
