D&D 5E Criminal bagground - Does Diguise count as a tool profiency?

Hey there people.

I am playing a rogue and I chose the criminal bagground.
But I already got Thieve's tools profiency. I get to choose a new tool profiency, does Disguise kit count as a tool profiency?

Yes it does. Other backgrounds, such as Charlatan on the opposite page from Criminal, list disguise kit as a tool proficiency.
