Cult film favs seeking mainstream success

Liv has been out of the spotlite for quite a while.
A role in a blockbuster film each year for the past three years and numerous magazine covers ( I would bet AT LEAST one a month for the past 12 months) is "out" of the spotlight? Please tell me you forgot to put the smiley at the end of your post.

But maybe if Hand of Evil's doom clock is correct, there may be a Jersey Girl curse, much like there is a Superman: the Movie curse. Except instead of everyone suffering severe physical/mental deterioration, they just become C-list celebrities. I hope not. I like Liv. Seems very nice, not stereotypical hollywood starlet.

The good news is that Jersey Girl has already done better than Gigi by 2.3 million. :D

Just curious, am I the only one who find's Hanks little snivel/chuckle/laugh in the ladykillers trailers to be horribly twitch-worthy? I can't even stand to see him do it for a trailer's worth, the idea of actually seeing to whole film? While it looks interesting and somewhat amusing, I would rather do just about anything with two hours than see that characterization. I can easily see myself driven into the theater lobby to wander around reading the fine print on upcoming attractions posters...

Just had to get that off my chest and see if I was alone in it. (well, alone outside my husband who also thinks its awful.)

Kahuna Burger

To be honest , neither of them appeals to me. :\

Ben Affleck annoys me. The only saving grace of that film will be the witty writing of Kevin Smith (one hopes) and/or the fact that it has a cute little kid.

Ladykillers just isn't my style either.

I prefere action/adventure.

Well, I have to say that if people are looking at reviewers' ratings, it doesn't bode well for these films. 58% for The Ladykillers and 39% for Jersey Girl over at rottentomatoes! :(
