Curious about your present Party Composition

Mithriltooth

First Post
It seems like the 3E D&D books are geared for 4 character parties. Im curious to see how many PCs are in your campaigns, and what class mixes you have. Feel free to include names and levels if you wish.

My group (we use 5)

1st level Moon Elf (fem) Cleric Of Kossuth "Galia Be'feyn"
1st level Moon Elf (fem) Fighter "Lucinda Frostmourne"
1st level 1/2 Moon Elf Bard "Markus Of Black Raven"
1st level Lightfoot Halfling Thief "Fisley Griblingtine"

NPC
1st level Shield Dwarf Wizard "Thorzoun Mithriltooth"

Just curious if most of you use the standard party of four.

Party Composition

The party in which I play has:

* Human male fighter/sorcerer/master samurai (me)
* Human male rogue/corsair
* Human male rogue
* Dwarf fighter/weaponsmith (campaign-specific PrC)
* Dark Elf Ranger/Ancestral Avenger
* Human female paladin

At one point, we also had:
* Human male barbarian/ranger/fighter
* Elf female fighter (specialized in archery)

So, the cool thing in that group is, NO arcane magic (except for my pitiful 4th level sorcerer) and NO cleric. Good times.

The party that I DM has:

* Human male rogue/fighter
* Half-elf male rogue
* Human male cleric/sorcerer
* Orc (really a half-orc) male fighter
* Human male barbarian
* Elf female rogue (recently retired and changed to Elf male wizard)
* Human male paladin

At one point the party also included a Human female ranger (who was going to multi-class as a bard in the future, but the guy only came to one session).

So, this group is also "magic-light" for some reason. The cool thing at the first session was that we had THREE rogues and only one fighter.

only 3 with no Wizard/Sorcerer ? :eek:

I have tried explaining how a balanced party would make their lives easier, but the goobers just like to make it hard on themselves.

I am surprised there is a cleric in the group. None of them likes to play spell casters. :rolleyes:

The game I'm running (not frequently enough for my liking, but there you go) has the following party composition:

Male Half elf Bbn6/Rng1/Ftr2/Claws of Ravarna1 [1]
Female Human Rog7/Wiz3
Male Human Drd6/Sor4
Female Human Wiz9/Bbn1 [2]
Male Elf Clr5/Ftr4/Order of Bow1

The NPC Ratman [3] Rog1/Adp1/Mnk1 got toasted last session and they're currently deciding whether or not to raise him.

All the characters were rolled well on a 4d6 drop lowest system, leading to a couple of obscenely powerful characters - the party tank is (IIRC) around a 45 point buy, the rogue and wizard around a 40 point buy; the others are about 32 or so.

[1] Prestige class that is a little bit bounty hunter and a little bit vigilante. Ravarna the Avenger is the goddess of vengence IMC, whose dedicated followers seek out those who have caused injustice and wrong to others in order to settle the score.

[2] Suprised me when she went for Bbn too... It's to represent her temper and to provide a means to weild a greatsword when poly'd into a troll... Currently aiming for Shadowlord (R&R) as a prestige class. Also currently a couple of months pregnant from a drow/doppelganger subplot a short while back.

[3] CC1, or 'skaven' as they're also known.

The Realms game I'm playing in rather than running goes like this:

Female Human Wiz3
Male Half-elf Ftr3, aiming at Weaponmaster
Male Human PWa2/Mnk1
Female Human Rog3, most likely aiming at Duelist via Rng1 and/or Ftr2

NPCs are a Male Human Cle2 of Tymora and a Male Halfling Brd3 who insists on fighting with twin short swords.

Hm, in the campaing I´m DMing there is a:

Rogue/Acrobat thief
Barbarian
Psiwarrior (soon to take levels in a modified bladedancer Prc)
Psion
Sorcerer

(There´s only one "race", -although it´s highly customizable- and the classes have been modified too)
