Current Campaign?

So this is pretty self explanatory. I'm actually not really eligible since I'm working two jobs and only occassionaly get to play with my amigos who do everything from Fading Suns to Feng Shu.

Yeah, actually, it's not so self explanatory.

Are you asking us what setting we are playing in right now? Is this a poll question?

Well, if the question is What's your current campaign?, then here's my answer:

I'm playing in a homebrewed campaign. But it's mostly an improv one. I'm pretty much building the world as the PC's travel it.

Sure, I've got the big secrets down, but things like towns and important NPCs I come up with when preparing an adventure.

It's a lot of fun.

What I am playing now

Well currently I am playing in 2 different gaming groups.

I am playing AD&D in a homebrewed world with my GM and 3 other players.

AND I am currently playing in a HackMaster game with a different group of people (a lot of folks it that group & it keeps growing).

I am really enjoying both games. The D&D group has a tough time getting together (time wise). At least the HM group meets consistantly.

:D

2 groups: 1) generic 3E and ...
2) 2E L5R

both have a certain something that I haven't experienced in a long time (7 years). I get to play instead of run the game. PRAISE THE LORD!! Can I get an AMEN?!?

Nothing, at the moment. I'd love to run a couple of the ideas I've got, but I'd need a regular game day and people to play with on it. Neither of which is likely to happen in the next two months or so. :(

I'm currently running two 3E Greyhawk campaigns, both set in 583 CY in the same world - though different areas - with two different groups. (One about 12th level, the other about 3rd level)

Cheers!

This is my current list:
  • Mage: The Ascension: This campaign began in July of 1999 and it will end about three years to the day come this July, barring any scheduling mishaps. While two of the four players believe it to be good because they never fail to have fun, one of them is bored stiff (It's a very long story.) and the other had to drop out due to professional concers. IMO, this campaign is the biggest failure I've suffered to date.
  • Feng Shui: This campaign is just passed the one year mark, and the player group is now down to a manageable size. I still have one problem player that I can't dispense with because he's part of a package deal. (Yep, another pair of gamers who refuse to play apart no matter what.) While everyone's having fun, more or less, the problems I'm having with a few players are wearing on my severely.
  • Exalted: Someone else sits behind the GM's screen for this one. It's not off the ground yet, but I know the GM and he knows the other players. I'm playing the Dawn Caste character, and we're going for a heavy Final Fantasy/Escaflowne feel. That means Warstriders, airships, and combos worthy of the best fighting games around.
  • Dungeons & Dragons: This is my Middle-Earth campaign, which is in Development Hell. The campaign bible isn't finished, and the player roster may change before I finalize the details and get ready to launch around January of next year. Again, I have a personel problem that centers around people who are always part of a package deal. (This is damned annoying.)

Mage. New game for our group, and I'm running it.

Quite a learning curve, but a refreshing change from D&D.

It's not like we don't enjoy 3e, but sometimes it's nice to throw balance out the window and just tell a story.

..or something like that. :)

I have no life.

I am a gaming slut, I can't say no to a promising game. Here's the current list of what I'm playing in and running.

D&D Homebrew world. I play Ashimar the Wizard. Weekly.
D&D Greyhawk. I run this. Weekly.
D&D Forgotten Realms. We all play ourselves. It's a lot of fun, given that I am a pacifist, and therefore my character in this is too. Weekly.
D&D Homebrew world. I play Jelanen, a Bladesinger and Baron. Weekly.
Vampire LARP. I run this with friends. Bi-weekly.
Vampire LARP. I play a Nosferatu. Run by other friends. Bi-weekly.
Dark Future LARP (Cyberpunk style homebrew system). I play Viper, a heavy metal goth rocker. Bi-weekly.
7th Sea. I play Fortunato, Governor of a city in Vodacce. Occasional.

There's probably a couple of others that technically run occasionally, but that's about it. Not every one runs ever opportunity, but my schedule is still pretty busy. Good thing my wife is a gamer too, or I'd be in huge trouble.
