Curse of House Thimbrall (orsal judging)

Ridik cast Magic Aura (hiding the aura) on the amulet then hide it on himself. He then ready his shield and put his mace back at his belt. He puts himself in front. He readies Bless. At the moment it become obvious they are attacked, he will cast his spell unless the dogs are in charging range, in that case, he will draw his mace and ready an attack against the first dog who come in range of his mace.

Levin will draw his sword and shield and put himself between Ridik and the dogs. If the dogs show that they're attacking he will ready to attack the first one in range.

ao'Thuir readies his javelin and positions himself in front near Ridik and Levin. He will not throw unless someone else attacks first or when they are within 60' and it is obvious that they are hostile. Once he has thrown one javelin he will draw his greatsword.

OOC: Boog will have his crossbow out, but will not take aim at any particular dog unless hostile intent is displayed. If it is, he'll fire at just over 320 feet. If they close within that before acting with malice, he'll fire at just over 160 feet. If they close within that before acting with malice, he'll fire as soon as they're within 120 feet. Boog will be in the second rank, behind ao'Thuir, Ridik, and Levin.

ooc: Kamdar will be 5' behind the front rank, rapier ready, and total defense'd
That makes my AC 21.
I'll attack as soon as I can

Keth draws his greatsword and joins ao'Thuir and Levin in the front row. Jann and Gerald go to the back. As the dogs get closer, Jann pulls out a piece of leather, waves his hands in a strange way and speaks some even stranger (to the uninitiated) sounds; Ridik (spellcraft check 17, DC 16) recognizes it as a mage armor spell. Gerald meanwhile pulls out a bag and a candle as Jann draws and loads his crossbow.

When the dogs are 120' away, it is clear that they are coming straight at you. Ao'Thuir's eyes are keen enough to see that
there are 11 of them
.

Boog fires his crossbow. He is no doubt glad to have waited until close range, as his shot strikes true (attack 16), doing 9 damage and killing one dog.

Gerald begins to make some strange gestures and sounds of his own; neither Ridik's nor Jann's spellcraft is enough to recognize what he is doing.

Levin, Keth and ao'Thuir have their weapons drawn and waiting.

Jann fires his crossbow; his aim (attack roll 11) is not as good as Boog's, and the shot passes through the pack.

Ridik blesses the party; henceforth all attack rolls (and saves vs. fear) will be at +1.

Kamdar waits, as the dogs close to within 40'.

Boog's turn. Here is the map:

ao'Thuir passes on the count as the dogs draw closer, "There are 11, no make that 10 of them heading straight for us. They don't look nice."

He himself waits until they are a little bit closer (30') before tossing his javelin and drawing his greatsword.

Boog hung his crossbow at his belt, then bent and picked up his staff. There was no time for a second shot, he'd have to protect the party's flank with brute force.

OOC:[sblock]Attack roll: (18+2=20)
Damage: (2+1=3) [/sblock]

Ridik moves next to Levin. "Thank you, but I'll be able to defend myself... well, I think... I know against the zombie I didn't show a lot of skill but I've been better at the monastery."Ridik ready action to attack the first dog who come close to him.
