D&D 5E Curse of Strahd Nursery Rhymes

I just started a CoS campaign, and said the players grew up knowing these nursery rhymes. I ended up having the kids of the Death House sing them in the fog at the beginning.

Don't go roam in the foggy mist
'cause you won't come home
And you won't be missed

The land loved his mother
And only one other:
The bride of his brother
When the bride done scoffed
Poor brother was offed
So she threw herself from the raven's loft

Has anyone done anything similar? Any suggestions how to keep the campaign creepy?

"One for sorrow, two for joy, three for a girl, four for a boy, five for silver, six for gold, seven for a secret never to be told, eight for a wish, nine for a kiss, ten for a bird you must not miss."

I would just rip off the great 80s stuff.

"One Two, Freddy's coming for you..."
"ki ki ki, ma ma ma."
I just read that Friday the 13th took a cue from Jaws to come up with the tense sound before you die from Jarws' 2-tone soundtrack.
