The Cursebringer evocation allows the hexblade warlock to smite in a similar fashion to a paladin ( it's far superior in my opinion but the wording is the same for the trigger which is what my question is about ).
Is there anything RAW that prevents a paladin/hexblade from smiting with both features on the same hit, assuming appropriate type spells are used? I don't see anything that prevents this. It was amusing in our homebrew game when the character crit for 6d6 + 18d8 + 7 at level 8. ( 2d6 greatsword 1d6 hex 6d8 3rd level warlock spell slot 3d8 1st level paladin spell vs undead target, all doubled via crit ).
I'm not really interested in houserules people would use in this situation. I was curious if I missed an errata or sage advice involving this scenario.
