Custom Class Feat selection. Gunner/Primary Healer Build

First Post
So the campaign is taking place in a desert setting and my character is a wandering salesman to the indigenous people. I also tinker with new tech.

Spell List is modified down to remove all summoning(except shambling mound) and animal and plant based spells.

I've been struggling with a build that is awesome at shooting and can heal and buff well enough. Hopefully the concept can scale well.

Feat selection is where im running into problems and I would love some suggestions. Here are a few feats im considering.

Heat Resistance
Point Blank Shot
Precise Shot
Rapid Shot
Extend Spell
Persistant Spell
zen archery
Strike FavoredE
augment healing
Shared Enemy
Sculpt Spell
slayer of
Farshot
sudden maximize Spell
Twin Spell

The Dm would like me to take heat resistance but I am undecided. It should also be noted that the DM isnt holding me to the strick subclass selection of Favoured Enemy.
Im starving for feats and its making the selection tricky. Would love your input. :D

What's a Robot?

What is a Light Gun?

So am I to understand that this is a build cherry-picking Druid and Ranger abilities, Druid's BAB? Swapping out Druid's Wildshape abilities for a Ranger's Favored Enemy sounds perfectly fair to me.

Swapping out Animal Companion for this, um, whatever a Robot is.

What is the AC bonus at level 1? I see the +1 progression along the build. Is this like a Monk with a Wis bonus, than the +1 every few levels? I see you've dropped wearing all armor, so cherry picking the Monk Fast Movement and AC progression also seems a fair tradeoff for losing a Druid's Wildshape, and pairing down Druid's spell list.

At a quick glance, this doesn't seem overpowered in any way. This is, what, maybe a Tier three class with the remaining Druid spells you have available?

You can craft Magical Arms and Armor, but you can't wear it? I see how that fits the tinkerer flavor, but bummer for you. Unless you have a nice Bracer collection or something.

Robot is basically the same as animal companion just made of metal and losing things like scent and gaining immunity to mind control effects and requiring a repair spell instead of cure spells. I could make new models that would mirror any possible animal companions stats.

A light gun is basically a light x-bow and hand x-bow, no machine guns. They are more fun to draw and design for me so the DM is being awesome and allowing it.

The Ac progression and movement speed would be the same as a monk. And your right I will be applying my wisdom to my ac.

Craft magic arms and armor I believe applies to making weapons doesnt it? that was the intention anyway so I can craft my own weapons as the game progresses. Guns will be exceedingly rare.

I was hopeing for some help picking feats as im feeling a bit feat starved and dont want to multiclass. Seems like I can self buff quite a bit to get my to hit up there, extend spell and persistent spell. Makes me wonder if Point blank shot and precise shot are worth it. I have no experience with favored enemy and was wondering if the corresponding feats are worth it? Would I need dodge and mobility to get in there to heal my party mates?

So, in D&D terms, a Homunculus? A Construct? A Golem?
Sounds like what you're really talking about is an Effigy creature, Complete Arcane p. 151. These are ordinerally made with the Craft Construct Feat, or with the Effigy Master PrC. Not sure how you'd balance the bonuses that template applies with the Druid's Animal Companion progression.

Do you have an idea for how to produce your ammunition?

Thanks for the reference. I passed it on to the DM and I guess i'll see what happens there.

As for the ammo, I took a craft gunsmith skill. I made it up and the Dm approved it. That said id prefer to follow existing parameters if they exist.

And feat selection...?

Cant wait to start playing this class. It may be third tier or whatever but it sounds fun. I appreciate the time you've given in helping flush out this idea.
