that's one excessively expensive item... 24,000gp for a +10 bonus to a strength based check 1/day, why so expensive? huge size for 10 rounds is 4k cheaper... (16 to strength, -4 dex, 8 to con, 7 to natural armor) i'm lost on the pricing

oh yeah... i can't use that wand, no spellcasting ;-)

Oops, you're right! I messed up my pricing- I'll fix it a lil later today (again, after work).

Sorry I haven't been here before, I kind of missed these threads...and since my community supporter account has expired I can't search and so on...

Anyway - apologies.

I think I'd like to play a Barbarian of some description. Jester, got any wild suggestions for Barbarian style PrC's? Don't worry, I'd rather not inflict the Frenzied Beserker on the party.

How about a Bear Warrior from Complete Warrior? Been wanting to try one of those out for a while.

Hmm, bear warrior's neat. I haven't got any experience with it actually in play, so I can't really advise how it would work in practice though. But it sure has style! :)

If you're looking for something Cydra-specific...

If you're feeling crazy, you could multiclass into cannabix (or druid/cleric, or get sassy with domain choices) and then into Frenzied One; but that has a lot of the same 'issues' as the FB.

If you're a tabaxi, there's the Miloxi Heir.

If you're missing a limb, there's the Rough Rider (the guy who played Belmondo the Enhanced is visiting from NYC, actually- Belmondo was a pc who started the RRs back in 2e).

If you like the barbarian/bard combo there's the War Beater- designed for orcs, but also available to half-orcs.

And of course, there's always Warrior of Chaos. :)

On another note, I may have finally disinfected the computer- we'll see. It's looking good- this is pretty much the first time I've been able to go online without massive craploads of popups and crippling amounts of weird stuff going on. Cross them fingers, guys! :)

I'm just waiting for a reprice on that item so I can finish up my character a bit...

oh, jester, you wouldn't let me trade out one of the ranger class skills so escape artist would be a class skill would you? it'd make sense for a character always in out an of jails/prisons/being hunted

Right, I've come up with a Barbarian6/Bear Warrior 5/Wildshaper1, the last two classes being written in Complete Warrior. Broadly speaking, when I rage, I turn into a brown bear, and I'm very, very effective.

It does rely on me being allowed two feats (although the character is fine with different feats) Multiattack (from the MM - secondary attacks at -2 instead of -5) and Improved Natural Weapon (one natural weapon counts as one size larger). Imp Nat Wpn combined with the Wildshaper (or the Warshaper, whatever the heck it's called) means my claws would be doing 3d6 damage each attack...mwahahahaha.

The character concept is broadly based on the Nac Mac Feegle from the Discworld. Think a mad, often drunk Scotsman who's a bit dumb (Int 5 I think), but quite likeable, and prone to turning into a bear and smashing stuff.

"An' who talks like this, don' you fergit it! Crivens! Where's me pint?"
