Sure, that's why we will probably get one of those books eventually. Adding Spelljammer or Planescape on top of your homebrew isn't hard, unless the person bothered to create their own whole cosmology.

I hope there is some new Spelljammer and/or Planescape material soon-ish--and not a rehash of The Great Modron March. I can find or create a 5E version of old stuff if I want to; I want something novel and original.
