Quicken for sorcerers

Qf course they will, that goes without question. Otherwise sorcerers would be quite a lot weaker than wizards and that's not the aim of Haste revision.

Haste was the only way non-epic Sorcerer's were able to cast two spells per round. This change to Haste will prevent them from casting more than one spell per round until epic level.

There already is a feat that allows this in Tome and Blood. (It might be in the FRCS as well). Basically it allows a sorcerer to prepare spells as a wizard - so the sorcerer can prepare quickened spells ahead of time.

Cheers!

Thanks Morrus--Great idea.

May I humbly suggest this thread be 'stapled' to the top of the forum (I don't know how else to put it), or and/or put a link on the news site.

"bear's endurance"

I can think of quite a few animals with better endurance than bears.

I would've thought that "donkey's endurance" would be more appropriate, if somewhat less evocative.

Re

A sorcerer should not have to take Arcane Preparation to use the Quicken Spell feat. The wizard already has the advantage of greater spell selection to offset spontaneous casting. Having to take an additional feat to use the Quicken spell when sorcerers already receive no bonus feats is ludicrous.
