[D&D 3.5/Eberron] Forgotten Forge [Full]

Events seem to be conspiring against me.

The good news is that I found a cheap apartment just 3 miles from campus, so my commuting problems seem to be over. Or so I thought. I spent the weekend moving in and was planning to catch up on schoolwork and start participating in the game. But then hurricane Ivan decided to pay a visit so I had to almost immediately pack up and evacuate back to where I just moved from.

We expect to lose power sometime around mid-day and I don't know how long before I can get back online. I'm not even 100% sure that power loss is the worst that will happen.

I'm not going to keep holding everyone up, especially as everyone seems eagar to start. If anybody in one of the reserve slots wants to trade for my active slot and the DM approves, I'll step aside.

Wish me luck.

Good luck, IdentityCrisis. I hope that things turn out okay for you. Hurricanes are, at the risk of making a huge understatement, no fun. I'll keep Khashana in reserve -- she may not be on this first adventure with the party, but when you come back, if you still want to play, we'll work her in.

Best,
Nick

Oh, I'm going to post a move right now...I had to sleep last night -- I was just wicked exhausted. I've started 2 part time jobs...

Best,
Nick

It's not that bad (and it's hopefully temporary). One of them -- substitute teaching -- will be irregular, and the other will be more regular -- Barnes & Noble. It's about as much as I worked during graduate school, so it should be okay. :) I'm up for a full time job (interview next week, second with the company), so I can deal with this in the short run.

Good luck, Identity Crisis and Kajamba Lion! :)

And, not that I want to make my life harder, but I believe that I might have lost that casting of RLD:

Attacks of Opportunity: Generally, if you cast a spell, you provoke attacks of opportunity from threatening enemies. If you take damage from an attack of opportunity, you must make a Concentration check (DC 10 + points of damage taken + spell level) or lose the spell. Spells that require only a free action to cast don’t provoke attacks of opportunity.

IC, where are you? Ivan is headed right up AL - right towards my house! Yikes! If you pray, please do so for the residents of Alabama, including my wife and kids!!! I wish I were there with them, but here I am, stuck in Virginia! :(
