I can imagine it would — the class is different enough to make it a realm apart from the typical arcanist.Krug said:Yeap I'm having a good time, though playing an Artificer takes some getting used to.![]()
I hear you, and I'm trying to think of a way that I can provide a visual aid without having to constantly be drawing maps up. Something'll probably give for the next chapter, although we're going to ride this one out with no maps.Knight Otu said:I can see how not using a map is liberating to you, but I for one like the visual aid the map can give.
That's one of the things I'm kind of aiming for — I want a generally grey world with hints of bright white and pitch black. As far as the party getting slapped around more than similar parties, I think a lot of that has to do with the party being three spellcasters and a wicked atavistic barbarian — if Rawhide goes down quickly or can't reach the front of the party, y'all are just about screwed, as the last two fights have shown.MadMaxim said:I'm used to playing a cleric, but I believe it's somewhat different in Eberron than in Greyhawk or Forgotten Realms. Everything isn't as black and white here as in those settings. I like that a lot, really. But are we just getting slapped around a lot more than similar parties would have been in this adventure? I don't know. I guess I'm just not used to using elite array ability scores for my PCs (32 points point-buy all the way, baby!). I feel a bit underpowered, but I guess that'll just take some getting used to.
