Just a couple of nitpicky details. What other tricks does your animal companion know? Since your character has ranks in Handle Animal, its safe to assume that you've taken the time to train your hawk, so the the hawk should have a total of 7 tricks. Also, human characters know the regional language of their land of origin as a bonus language, so your character would know have Tureni.

That's it, other than that, looks superb.

Thanks.

I would then select Trained for Hunting which takes 6 tricks: attack, down, fetch, heel, seek and track. Hawk's Intel is 2, so it's ok. That would fit with Johen's recent travelling where he had to hunt to survive and use Highflyer to help.
My Bonus Trick is Perform and is free. It relates to Johen doing a few performances with Highflyer to get a bit of money or pay for a room...

Otherwise was wondering if he gets maximum hit points or just what's in the monster section?

Regarding Johen, am I right to assume that his travels have taken him as far as Azgun?

Finally, where do you want the character sheets kept? shall I attach the final .txt version?

Animal Companion stats come straight from the MM, then have the animal companion stuff overlaid, kind of like a template. So, yeah, normal MM hp. Being in Azgund is right where I need him to be, so that's fine. I already cut and pasted the character where I need him, so don't worry about that.

Great setting! I would love to play if you have room. My options would be
1-a human ranger (but I see PhoenixAsh is also interested)
2-a Drukkar barbarian

are you still recruiting?

Helfdan

Yes, I'm recruiting until the 27th.

A barbarian would certainly be an interesting addition to the group, as would a ranger (there are several different "flavors" of ranger in the world).

Get a concept in and we'll go from there. :)

Arkhandus: Awesome. I love the nitpicky details on the character sheet. I do have to ask for one minor tweak to the background. The Adventurer's Guild encourages their wizard members to take on apprentices, but there isn't enough of them to form anything like a mage's academy. So, Alaric would've had to have been in a master-apprentice relationship. Whether Alaric was the only apprentice or a member of a small group is up to you.

I have a master in mind, if you'd rather leave those details to me...

Entan, a high ranking, semi-retired member of the Adventurer's Guild. Thayvian by birth, but trained in magic in the elven tradition. Adventurered for a number of years with Ivellios Holimion, a grey elven cleric; Iphithis, Ivellios' half-elven son and a ranger/rogue; and Vaarg, a half-orc and last in a long line of fighter types Entan's group cycled through on their often exceedingly dangerous adventures.

Here is my take on a Tureni Ranger. As I know Phoenix was also interested in playing one, I will be posting a barbarian character as well.

Okay, I wasn't sure how the 'adjunct to the Adventurer's Guild' part was supposed to be interpreted for the Azgundi wizardry tradition.

Entan sounds great for Alaric's mentor. I suppose it's most likely that Alaric would've joined an existing small group of apprentices when he arrived in town. I assume it's whatever city the Adventurer's Guild is based in, but I dunno how it's set up so I didn't put in any specifics on whatever city Alaric went to for wizardry training.

I'll edit Alaric's background to fit once I work on typing out his full appearance/personality descriptions, so it'll be there when I post the sheet again.

I would like to submit a centaur ranger character for consideration. This is my first time doing the pbp thing, so please bear with me...
Aodhan (the lost)
He's got a little bit of back story, and he is somewhat shamed by it. I'll get into that more if you are interested in DMing him.
For weapons and fighting style, he prefers axes for up close combat, figuring they are just as utilitarian as they are deadly. In ranged combat, he prefers spears and the like due to thier ability to be used in melee in a pinch, and the devastating effect of an effective charge is icing on the cake. He disdanes using it, but he does carry a long bow for times when he just has to reach out and touch someone and the other weapon options are just not feasable.
His attitude towards the land isn't some high minded, nature worshipping ideal like druids or some ranger types seem to adopt. For him, being a ranger is just how you make your way in the environment you live in. People who live in cities need a different set of skills and abilities than he does to live in his home. If Aodhan gets hungry, he uses hunting, tracking, or foraging skills to get food. If a city dweller gets hungry, he uses bartering, and social skills to get food.
You wont find Aodhan refering to nature as if it was a person or being, just a fact of life. Logically, this attitude makes him unfit for worshipping any gods or princples.
Aodhan tends to be pragmatic almost to a fault - getting things done is much more important than how they get done. There is a certain ruthlessness to his methods.
Anyhow, Im exhausted and I'm crashing, so let me know if you want him and if so we can flesh out the mechanics and back story.
