A better use for the leadership feat I could not imagine.

Seriously though, it will certainly provide for some interesting roleplaying opportunities. Now, I just need to know what the base race and your 1st level class are going to be. The features of the template won't start kicking in until you take the 1st level of the template class, which can't be at 1st character level because, as a template, there is no starting HD. However, the blood dependency could still be there, if you want the roleplaying aspects at 1st level.

I would want to go human. What are the needs of the party? I haven't seen what other people have put together.

A Mountain Dwarf Cleric
A Ghaele Eladrin
A Human Paladin (multi-classing into Rogue and heading for Shadowdancer)
A Human Wizard (multi-classing into Rogue and heading for Arcane Trickster)

So, in terms of "missing" party skills, I'd say the group may want to have a nature skills type (ranger or druid), or a more focused rogue type, but really, anything you can come up with is perfectly acceptable.
