D&D 3E/3.5 D&D 3.5 Psion/Egoist PRC - The Physical Adept (criticism welcome)

Let's hope I'm posting this in the right spot...

To start, I've played a whole hell of a lot of D&D 2nd edition, Third Edition (3.5), various Whitewolf (crap) games, Amber, Earthdawn, and Shadowrun.
I've been playing an Egoist in a buddie's 3rd Edition game, and was wanting something similar to a Physical Adept out of Shadowrun. I wrote this PRC up to do just that. Feel free to comment on any balancing issues.

The Physical Adept

Hit Die = D8
Skill Points/level = 4+Int Mod.
Class Skills: Balance, Climb, Escape Artist, Jump, Listen, Move Silent, Sleight of Hand, Spot, -Swim, Tumble
Weapon Prof. = All simple
Armor Prof. = None
Requirements:
-Strength 14+, Dexterity 14+, Constitution 14+
-Ability to manifest 3rd level Egoist powers
-SPECIAL: At least 2/3 (round down) of chosen powers must have a range of touch/self. If this ratio is not met, Physical Adept bonuses/abilities are lost until it is.

Level // Base Attack // Fort. // Ref. // Wil. // Special // Known powers

Physical Boost: Character expends psionic focus to grant +4 athletic bonus to Strength, Dexterity, and Constitution for 1 round/Physical Adept level.

Quick Recovery: Character heals at an accelerated rate; lev*2/8hrs rest, lev*3 with a successful DC 15 heal check. Attribute damage from poison also increases by the same rate.

Skill Mastery: Character gains athletic bonus indicated to all Phys. Adept class skills, except Spot, and Listen.

Bonus Feats: As per fighter bonus feats.

Kip-Up: Character may attempt a DC 15 tumble check to stand from prone as a free action, without provoking an attack of opprutunity.

Body Sense: Character may now 'take a 10' on heal checks preformed on self. This takes approximately 5 minutes. (GM discretion, of course)

Physical Mastery: Character gains DR2/magic that stacks with DR gained from use of the 'Biofeedback' power.

I must say that it looks quite a lot overpowered. Compared with a standard egoist it gains: better hit die (almost twice as good), more skill points, better weapon proficiency, (but only slightly), psychical boost (which seems better then standard barbarian rage), increased healing (not that big of a deal), skill bonuses to eight skills (a total of 32 points worth of skill bonuses), one more bonus feat (though from a different list), stand as a free action (normally an epic level DC 35), and damage reduction (though fairly weak as DR goes).

And they loose... psycrystal advancement? Am I missing something else?

As for the prerequisites, they don’t seem that bad. The physical ability requirements seems a little steep (and unusual as a PrC prereq). Any egoist will be able to manifest third level powers at 5th level, and the 2/3 powers touch/self requirement is not that big of a deal given the amount of useful psion/wilder powers that are touch/self.

I prefer prerques that require the character to spend some resources, mostly on feats, or skills, or multiclass levels, especially if it something they might not naturally take.

This PrC seems like a no-brainer if you have the stats for it, you can take at 6th level with almost no sacrifice.

Yes a prestige class should be “better” then a regular class, but I think this is too much better.

If you want to really make this class more balance, I’d start by dropping the hit die to d6, dropping the will down to worst progression (and I personally I’d make the others standard progressions), change the phys boost to an enhancement bonus, reduce skill mastery to a smaller number of skills (for at most), get rid of kip up, and reduce the +1 manifester level, probably to 8 increases over 10 levels.

But my real advice is take a look at what is already out there. I think the psychic warrior might be perfect for what you want. If you want to keep with the same character, maybe take a few levels of monk, and switch over to Fist of Zuoken. Since you’re already a manifester, you might convince your DM to let you forgo the Wild Talent prereque, and possibly use a partial +1 manifester level advancement instead of the fist’s own powers. (Maybe 7 +1 manifester over 10 PrC levels).
