[D&D 4e] IG's "The Witchlight Strand"

Aridha nods and hurries back to the inn as well, focusing on the immediate danger even as longer-term questions bubble in the back of her head.

(OOC - IG and I have been talking about some plans for this game...specifically the possibility of making a Story Hour out of it. I've done some work on setting, but since the work will feature you guys' characters I wanted to make sure you were all down with the idea before I started. I also want to make sure the game's still alive. IG? :))

(OOC: This game is still very much alive. I'll be putting together this next encounter hopefully during my days off this week if I have time after the overtime I'll be working. If not then, then net week... things should smooth out for me soon I hope. I really do appreciate your patience with me; as I said before, all the overtime and other recent events at work has just sucked the motivation right out of me for pretty much everything...)

(OOC - I DO have a question about this Story Hour idea....What is "Story Hour" and what is involved in making one out of a PbP game? If all that is required on our part is an Okay to use the characters as posted I have no probs at all.

(OOC - Excellent question. A Story Hour is a fictionalized account of a role playing game. Basically someone, or someones occasionally, take the time and effort to write the events that take place in the game in a sort of novel format, be it 1st person or 3rd person or whatever. The results would be a fantasy story based on our game. There's no money involved, on any side, and ownership of the characters, setting, and so on remain in the hands of the original creators...so in the case of the PC's, that's you guys. In the case of the NPC's and setting, that's IG. It's all meant to be informal, and just another way for us to enjoy the game.)

The sounds of battle become more clear as you get closer to the inn. Finally, as you enter the square, you see the largest group of murderous orcs yet. They have the square surrounded, but the townspeople aren't giving up so easily. Deeson Voss stands in the center of the town square next to the well. His stern face has turned to that of a joyous child as he cuts down an orc with a single swipe of his blade.

"Come, friends!" his voice reverberates through the sounds of bloody cries and clashing blades. "Lend your blades, for the fate of Hania will be decided now!"

Note: It is safe to assume that Deeson Voss and the citizens of Hania are engaged in battle off-screen. You are only responsible for the enemies shown on this map. Deeson Voss is fighting off-screen, but may provide Leader-type benefits to the party as needed, hence his noted location.

The first thought that Vatan has upon seeing the situation and hearing Voss call out is "Damn, now the know we are here!!" The second is "where are those pox-ridden casters?" as he looks aboutfor any orc that looks something like what he has already seen of their casters. Any visible? Third thought is about whether or not the Orcs are all here, or might there be some waiting somewhere. He knows the Townies are all in, but is concerned that there may be suprises from the Orcs...... All this while he braces himself for the fight to come, longsword and handaxe in hand.

Druthruss will take a step back and put his boot to the door to the side or otherwise try to yank it open and get some cover behind it or in the door way.
