WotC has posted the videos on their GenCon Diary.

They were smart and hosted them on YouTube, so if the site is down you should be able to find them. Search for 4th edition presentation.

Yeah, I read them on their site a little while ago (about half an hour to an hour ago).

At least I like the book covers for 4E much better, plus the online gaming stuff looks real cool. I hope they don't charge much for it.

I saw $9.95 per month (and whatever is there this year will be free until 2008), but I don't know how accurate that was.

Hey there is a pic of the PHB's cover! OMG!

You know, I thought I'd be happy that they were getting away from the "leather bound tome" paradigm. I was wrong. :(

(And Orcus still needs a pot-belly!)

$10?!!? If that is for each DM AND each player they can forget about it. It may not be as cool looking, but the free stuff is plenty good enough.

If its for the DM and up to 8 guests to play the DM's game, then thats a good price.

I love the art used in that presentation. Not old school AD&D, and not 3e dungeonpunk, but something that looks classic while also new and evocative. I especially like the dramatic stylized paintings with good use of light.

I'm not sure about the PHB and MM covers though. The DMG is beautiful, but the other too look oddly static, and I dislike the "plate mail bikini" on the PHB cover. The details are hard to see on the video though, so maybe they look better in person.

Wow, I was thinking it was lower than I expected.

That's almost worth it just for Dungeon and Dragon each month. Cover price was $15.98 just for the two magazines each month.

Plus you get the DM electronic tools. Plus you get access to the tabletop. Plus you get the character creator.

BTW, the D&D Insider info on the ENWorld front page confirms $9.95. I think that is a great deal.

Obviously its a per person subscription. I imagine that the players would have to have accounts to log on. Thats dirt cheap. I spend $10 a day just on my lunch break.

Besides, you can still split the account cost if all your group wants is content access. 4e will still be a tabletop game and the published books will have all the material you need.
