With you in preference of week days...that means we are deadlocked:
-Zardoz may recant his position.
-Ftr may decide on a choice other than no choice.
A Weapon of Quality is as follows:
Douven smiths the heros each a unique weapon as a symbol of whatever the bond of friendship may be....(except for quinn who declined the gift)
A Weapon of Quality has one feature that it otherwise wouldn't but is not magical.
It is a primary weapon....value 5-15 gold coins....and therefore each player gets a free primary weapon that they do not have to pay for.
(Rebate can be spent as the player see's fit.)
It can either be "balanced": meaning has a +1 attack bonus only.....applies to all bladed weapons only.....sword, knife, axe, etc.
OR
It can be "fortified": meaning has a +1 damage bonus only.....applies to all blunt weapons only.
OR
Forsaking both attack and damage bonus'....the weapon can have ONE additional quality descriptor; ie....A longsword with a "heavy blade" descriptor AND a "light blade" (for a rogue), or a daggar with a "high critical" descriptor....or a crossbow with "quick reload" descriptor added to it.
These weapons are unique.
They have a value, if sold, of nearly 10 times normal listing.
They could even be considered "customized".....clan markings....god of whorship...number of kills scratched into the handle....whatever the case.
It may or may not come into play later.....these items for example are EXACTLY the quality of item a wizard looks to enchant.....Douven has crafted for King's in his time....but he never creates the same weapon style twice.....his works are more like precious art than tools of war....though it has the resilience to do the latter.
