D&D 5E [D&D 5e] Planescape - In Through the Out Door

OOC: I've no clue whether Pic is up in the init order, but there's a post for him if you need one. The urgency of the situation totally escapes him, so he just stands in the doorway like a country bumpkin.

OOC: We were in one of those situations where there was only one enemy turn and I was just letting the PCs act in whatever order they so chose. :D But you're just in time, [MENTION=11146]CanadienneBacon[/MENTION] [MENTION=6755061]Kiraya_TiDrekan[/MENTION], as we're just about to leave combat time, for the moment.

The dagger strikes the bug square between the compound eyes, and it pauses a moment, as if to glare at it. Shakily, deliberately, it reaches up and pulls the dagger free, casting it to the ground with a derisive motion.

...Then, having made this last act of defiance, it pitches back, hitting the wall and leaving an oily, greenish dark stain along the boards as it slides down. It remains there for a moment, then seems to dissolve all at once, shimmering away into nonexistence like a bad dream.

A loud crack rattles the floorboards, and several cries, from the bar below and the street beyond, serve to remind you that you aren't out of danger yet.

What do you do?

[section]Picayune harumpffed at the gore left behind in the hall. "Bix! BIX! Bixie, baby!" The effigy hollered. "We's lookie-loo fer you. Barstle sent us yer way." When no Bix appeared, Picayune ganked his trombone to his lips and blew an irritated two-note blast. "That outta wake him up."[/section]

There's no obvious answer to the trombone's sudden blare-- which seems to come from nowhere to everyone but Shard-- but there's a faint thump and a rustling noise from further up the hall. What was it again? Fifth room on the left?

The lizardman gets onto his feet, holding onto his hat. The old woman waves him on, and they move to go past the party, the other way, toward the sounds of the street.

[section]Picayune zipped to the fifth door on the left, then unceremoniously phased through the closed door, not caring an iota for what he might see in the privacy of the room. "Bix! Trouble downstairs. No time for 'splainin' but jess you get on up, ole man, an' c'mon." The effigy jerked his head toward the closed door. "You's Bix, ainchya?" Picayune eyed the room's occupant.[/section]

On the other side of the door, you see...

[sblock=Picayune]
...a fairly ordinary albeit messy room, and in that room...
[sblock=...looking right at you...]
