Dungeons & Dragons has come to Fortnite, the popular video game that mixes battle royale gameplay with sandbox-style experiences. The collaboration between Dungeons & Dragons and Fortnite was announced today, with five new islands available to explore within the Fortnite game. Each island has a different gameplay experience, ranging from a cooperative boss fight to a PvP arena experience to a platformer. Various NPCs and locations from D&D will appear on the islands. The islands were designed by community creators Chartis and Teravision Games.

Fortnite is one of the biggest video games in the world, offering a wide range of experiences for players. Countless IPs have come to Fortnite, typically in the form of character skins and aesthetics, although bigger collaborations have also appeared from time to time.

The five island codes are as follows:
  • D&D Boxfights – 1190-4691-0255
  • D&D Treasure RNG – 4958-2624-5634
  • D&D Dungeon Deathrun – 5806-6430-0158
  • D&D Bossfight – 2218-1049-5866
  • D&D Zombie Dragon Adventure (Early Access) – 2525-9596-3235

My opinion this is very good for D&D because like this it earns a lot of brand power. And creators can find a source of inspiration for their own works.

Could you imagine Dark Sun in Fortnite (like a survival), or LEGO: Spelljammer like a trade simulation?

OMG! I stopped to play Fortnite because I have working in a other town and internet was bad, and my graphic card was not enough good for the updates. And I never played Battle Royal, only "Save the World" when it was totally unknown. I bought it in the first day and it was the last one the the store.

I don't play Fortnite, but I sometimes watch a Twitch Streamer that is sometimes playing it, especially during special events. They can be fun to watch, if you're into that kind of thing. It's kinda crazy what kind of effort goes into those. THough this doesn't seem to be an event with a grant story-line or video, but a set of maps might be fun, too.
