Hi everyone im been playing paper D&D with my friend for about 2 weeks , we had a fev session but some things are still not clear for us and we are makining our own game rules. I made this thread to clear things up and play legal
first of all my friend has a ranger using dual weapon style and every time he is using powers (daily, encounter or at will) he is using both wepons and does a lot of damage for example :
shadow wasp strike
discription says str vs reflex , hit 2 weapon dmg +str mod
main hand 2d8+4
off hand 2d8+4
and hunters quarry 1d8
my first question is if he is using dual weapons he can throw dice for both weapons dont matter what atttack ability he is using ???beacasue hes using hes both wepons attacks with almost all abilities for example when he is attacks using jaws of the wolf daily power he attacks two targets one with boths weapons and sceond with both is it right ???? after a fev session a have dubts we are playing legal damage is very high for level 3 character.maybe he should attack one monster with main hand and second with off hand ??? can he use both wepons damage to almost all powers(example Power "hit and run"can he strike with both weapons) or he can use them only when there is information (2 attacks main and off hand weapon)
second thing
what about using this powers , daily powers can be used once per day, so after ever battle i can say we are sleepieng for 24 hours and i can use this power again every encounter ???
third question can party retreat at combat, while playing we used retreating and gave all our close combat enemies oportunity attacks and run away, after runnning away we were sleeping recharge everything and go back to kill te remaning enemies force(all damaged monsters regain all HP) is it leagal ???
fourth question
what is penalty when party was defeated becasuse is hard to belive that everytime character die you must create a new one if you dont have cleric with ressurecion , who wants to create a new hero ever 1-2 sesssion
so what punishment /penalty you use on your sessions when party is deafated ( decarse exp/gold) ???
fifth question
how hunters quarry works ,lets say i attack a goblin a take him as a quarry , next turn i can attack another creature and take him as a quarry and deal extra dmg , so there almos no limit ??? besides a can take only one target at time ,so every time i attack a can take quarry a deal this extra damage and i count quarry only one time if im attacking 2 targets or one 2 times a throw dice only once for quarry
???
Resting and Eating
is there any specficetion how much character must eat to not die form thirst or hunger how many meals or bottles of wine
