D&D Experience: January 26th-29th, 2012

Morrus, at the risk of seeming like the English teacher that I am, the proper spelling of the town is Fort Wayne -- no "e" in Fort.

Thanks for all the hard work.

Baldman Games is also encouraging older editions and homebrew editions being run.

We are also really looking to mix in home-brewed games of D&D and especially older editions. If you are interested please choose that option and put details in the notes section. You can earn a badge running your own game the whole show if you want.

Baldman Games - DDXP 2012 Judging

Wait... did WotC really not confirm this convention until a month prior? And is hosting it the same weekend in the same state as the Super Bowl.
Ouch, good luck getting flights...

This convention happens every year around the same week. It's also not operated by WotC. They usually send some people though, as the namesake is of their beloved brand.

DDXP is probably my favorite convention. It's hard to relate exactly why, but it is more personal and fun. I hope to see you guys there.

Fun Fact about Fort Wayne, Indiana. It is the hometown of Charleston Heston's character in the original Planet of the Apes (1968). I only know this because I watched it again this weekend ;)

Just for the record it's not Super Bowl weekend. I'm not an idiot. It's the Probowl weekend. Also this show has been going on for years and we've already sold thousands of tickets. The Wizards page update is just a nice show booster.

Charleston Heston? Is he a swing-dancing rifleman? :)

DDXP, Comic Con and IlluxCon are three conventions I'd love to attend, but for obvious reasons I can only choose one (and even then, it's not guaranteed), so that is GenCon.

SILENCE MONKEY! I meant Charlton Heston
