D&D Experience

So from the front page I hear that D&D experience will be at the Regent Hyatt in Crystal City Virginia in February. This is walking distance from my work so I want to find out more about it.

I went to the wizards site but I'm having problems finding relevant information there using their search function. Anybody able to link to info on what exactly the D&D experience is and more info about it?

I hear that's where WotC will be making all their big announcements.

I wanted to go last year as I thought that is where they were going to announce 4e. From what I remember, even 2 weeks before the show there wasn't a lot of info to be had. Having seen anything yet except for the location. Hopefully, they'll post something soon as I'm definitely going this year.

In the past, it's been solely an RPGA convention (before last year, it was "Winter Fantasy").

IIRC, last year, they ran adventures for the various RPGA D&D campaigns, a non-RPGA "D&D Intro" game, and several D&D Minis tournaments. There were a couple of seminars / Q&As. There's only a couple of vendors there (it's meant to be a gaming con, not a shopping con).

The big draw next year, of course, is that it'll be the first place where 4E will be previewed. Beyond that, I don't know if they have anything else planned that will appeal to a non-RPGAer.
