D&D Miniatures... buying a case?

First Post
I hear alot of people talking about "buying a case " of the D&D miniatures.

Where do you go to buy such a case? How many boosters are in a case? and typically how much does a case cost?

Try gameoutfitter for an even better deal. 100.95+9.95 shipping. I got some dragoneye and harbinger from them and was very happy. I'm only upset I didn't order more with my last order.

Can you order whole cases at Amazon? If so, anyone know how to look it up?

I have checked and the answer is no.

I would go with either www.gameoutfitter.com (2 successful orders of 2 cases) or www.iconusa.com/online/D&D_index.html (2 separate orders of 2 cases). I like gameoufitter a bit more because the shipping is cheaper and the customer service was considerably more prompt.

You can also buy whole cases at E-bay. I've done this twice with a friend and they averaged $116 per case.

You might also try checking your FLGS. They're frequently more than happy to provide a discount when you're ordering by the case. (especially if you're a regular customer)

I just preordered a case from Gameoutfitter.com for $113 (shipping included). I have ordered from them twice before and I highly recommend them.

I'll second this. I didn't think my FLGS would give me a discount, since they rarely ever discount anything, even if it's been sitting on the shelf for a few years. But when I asked about a discount of a case of Dragoneye minis, they said "Sure!" I didn't get as big a discout as I would have if I purchased online, but I got 25% off. Thats good enough for me to buy locally instead of buying from someone I don't know.

If you want the low-budget case, do what I did. Go to your local craft/sewing store and look for one of the little plastic cases they sell. They typically have about 20 little compartments (probably designed for holding buttons, I suppose) that are perfectly sized for miniatures.

Then you'll have to get a bag of cotton balls to pad the compartments with, so your guys don't bounce around and get chipped.

It's not as snazzy as the hundred dollar jobs, but it works.

Total cost: about $5, as I recall.
