D&D Miniatures - Huge Gold Dragon!

Are all WotC minatures pre-painted? Or just some.

Is the Miniatures Handbook great fun? How does it compare to, say, Warhammer Fantasy Battles?

Are D&D minatures cheaper than Citadel?

Oh yeah . . . the dragon. Looks great! :)

All D&D Miniatures (well, of the current line) are Prepainted Plastic Figures. They are assorted randomly, so in a expansion pack you get 8 random figures (1 rare, 3 uncommon, 4 common). In the Giants of Legend pack you'll get 1 rare, 3 uncommon, 4 common and 1 huge.

The Huge figures may be either of the Rare Huge or Uncommon Huge rarity, with a 1:3 ratio of Rare : Uncommon Huge figures.

You don't need the MHb to play the game, all you need is the D&D Miniatures Entry Pack - the MHb is half D&D RPG and half D&D Miniatures.

The mass-battle rules in it are disappointing, the skirmish rules are excellent.

D&D Miniatures retail for $9.99 for 8, although the price is increasing to $12.99 for 8 in the near future; the Huge packs will retail for $19.99 each.

More information on my site, including set lists, galleries, spoilers and more. :)

Cheers!

Merric,

Thanks for the update. Actually, thanks for all of the updates and your site.

The Gold Dragon looks pretty good in my opinion, the Red as well, and the Rakshasa (did I spell that correctly?).

It looks like the Gold is taller than the Red. I hope to pull two of each, but I know my luck will not be that great.

Cheers :)

IMHO I believe that years from now we will look back to Giants of Legend (despite its annoying R/U huge distribution and 23 Rare set) as Magic players do today look back on the Magic:The Gathering Legends Expansion (1994)...
We'd all wish we'd have bought more packs "back then"... ;)

With one difference: Giants of Legend looks like being a really good set. :)

A lot of Legends wasn't that good. There were the incredibly powerful cards like Mana Drain, sure, but there was a huge amount of dross as well.

I bought half a box of Legends - preordered it, actually. The week after it came out, the price of packs had doubled. A month later, they'd quadrupled.

Cheers!

Don't say things like that! I could barely afford a case. ;)
