Seriously, how often do you use Huge creatures in your D&D games? It really isn't that often for most people.
You obviously haven't been reading my story hour, that's for sure. :)

Seriously, when you get to the higher levels or start advancing large creatures, you get Huge creatures pretty fast.

Rare/Common or Rare/Uncommon doesn't really matter. It's still a dumb way to do things. One huge fig should be just as hard to get as the other. Pretty soon WotC will be making "Foil" minis. ;)

The name of the Warforged Warhulk is wrong; sorry, I'm getting it confused with a Magic card. :) Titan it should be.

Did I leave out the Bulette? How did I do that!

I can now reveal that there will also be a (huge) Cloud Giant in the set.

Cool. :) Any confirmation on a Huge Gold Dragon? Oh, how I'd love that...

I think the format and price changes are going to hurt mini sales. IMHO we, the Internet groud, are a big reason for the big run up in sales of minis. The average gamer goes to his FLGS and purchases one, two or maybe three expansion packs for $10 each. We, on the other hand, go to Ebay or GameOutfitters and purchase one, two, or three cases at $100 each.

Sure; however if the average gamer outnumber the collectors by 100:1, then Wizards are making a lot more off them.

If you don't like the prices on Giants of Legend, don't buy any. It's as simple as that. Prices will be normal again for Set 5 onward. Alright, they'll be $12.99 rather than $9.99 per booster, but that's still extremely good value.

Cheers!

I was at GAMA and saw the Behir and Red Dragon and Warforged Titan (or whatever it's called). There's some pics at Gamingreport.com in their GAMA galleries. Here's one:

My apologies if this is all old news for folks. There are more at their GAMA gallery.

Yes, old news but still good news. :)

Incidentally, the Cloud Giant pics came from an interview/spot on ESPN2, according to my source.

Cheers!

Hmmm, I'm really disappointed in that list of huge minis (and yes, I realize it's only speculation at this point). The only ones that interest me at all are the treant and red dragon (and I'm not gunna shell out a fortune on the secondary market for it). I've been a big fan of the first 3 sets (I now have close to 300 minis) but that set doesn't do it for me at all. Oh well, saves me some money...
