D&D Minis: Chase Rares!!

There are always chase rares in CMGs, D&D minis are worse then others in this regard due to how only a few team builds are actually viable in the Tournament level which is one of the reasons I only use mine for Roleplaying (that and I don't care much for the rules).

Guess what two of my seven rares are? ;)

There seems to be an oddity in the seeding of Angelfire - adjacent cases will have an excellent distribution of rares except for one or two that appear in none!

It's been very frustrating for those who buy cases.

Cheers!

I have noticed this. I am hoping my case coming from Wizards will net me at least one the ones that I want.

Sure, if you've got an extra one lying around, although I'd rather have the beholder. ;) I've actually got a box o' figs that I was going to list on the trading board once I got them all cataloged, if there's other stuff you're looking for.

Is that in an eBay store or an auction? If it's a store, would you mind posting a link?

Thanks.

Auctions. The week after a set releases, you can usually find about a dozen auctions at $3-$4 range for full sets of commons.

Though always watch the shipping, a lot of times on Miniature sales they'll have a good purchase or bid price and then hide an outrageous shipping price of like $10+ down where it's not as easy to notice.

For those of you how go the e-bay route - remember the distribution per set:

12 Commons
24 Uncommon
24 Rare

So, a common set is 12 minis. IMO, a reasonable shipping charge for 12 minis is $5-$8 (depending on packaging and distance).

We are NOT doing chase rares.

Epic is our new name for 500 point play. Some figures come with two stat cards: a normal one for 200 point play, and a second, epic one for 500 point play.

Let me just say that I love that you're still posting on ENWorld even though you're at Wizards now!
