D&D Minis: What's missing most?

I think it might be wise for WOTC to create specific race sets, with an assortment of male/female/class combos in the package(s). This would aid DM's greatly who might have a particular theme they need to explore. The general assortment packs are great, and really good for surprises, but there needs to be a way for DM's to get what they need (or at least a variety of figures that are close to desired), without having to resort to after-market trading.

Like these perhaps....

Thieves!

Aside from Lidda, we need more thieves!
I know it's great to have all the uncommon monsters but how about
some humble folk to represent our PCs?

Yes... exactly, but not just repacks of figures already available. I'm hoping for new packs with with an extensive range of gender/class/weapon combinations. WOTC will still need to keep up the collectable nature of its existing packs by keeping rares & uncommons in the existing packs, and these Paizo packs are a great idea as well.

I am hoping for additional figures offered through a different marketing method, than the hit/miss and aftermarket methods currently offered.

eM-4 Miniatures? Prepainted!

Dwarfven Forge prepainted miniatures!

Reaper, Iron Wind, Magnificent Egoes, etc... non pre-painted but you can buy exactly what you need.

After-market trading? Ops, sorry, you didn't like the options.

I am not trying to be cynical, just remarking on optimism for additional options from WOTC.

Rust Monster, thirded.

If it's in the core MM, there should be a mini for it, by now. Except for the arrowhawk. I hate that guy.

Trust me, I'm with you. It took me forever to find a beholder in deathknell, and I'm still looking for an aspect of nerull, but I'm of the opinion that, "ain't never going to happen" is right up there.

Still, now that they've got the basic D&D boxed set in the Toys R us, maybe we'll see the D&D miniatures there too. After all, they already carry Heroscope and Heroclix.

Alright then, when I pull a Ravid, an Yrthak, and a Digester out of a booster some time down the road, I know who I'm coming after! :)

I was lucky, I pulled one from the first couple of boosters from my first case

Should not be that difficult.

I didn't mean that i wouldn't get an Aspect of Neurall, rather, I meant that WoTC going to a non-collectible format. Heck, it's created a new market and I think that's a good thing in and of itself no? While I may not like the higher prices of the rares, at the same time, I'm still buying metal so it's not as big a deal to me.
