D&D Minis: What's missing most?

Not that it would have much use in the miniatures game element, but I would _love_ to see a pack of mundane things. Treasure chests, tables, carts, barrels, haystacks, whatever. Just stuff the litter a battlemat with that is durable and to scale.

Terrain type pieces could be very useful and have a card that listed their uses as cover, traps, etc.

I could see a well, fountain, doorway, column, rubble wall, statue, wagon, dead horse carcass, treasure pile, crates, and barrels all as very useful in both mini games and rpg games. I would buy them in large quantities.

Someone also mentioned spell effects. I could see a clear cast wall of force that would be nice.

I just want non-random assortment so I can get the minis that I actually want easily. I do not like the collectible nature of the minis because I only use them for D&D, not some miniature game.

We use them for our D&D game as well. And for what we don't have a mini of, we can get something of the same relative size to substitute.

I was lucky, I pulled one from the first couple of boosters from my first case

Should not be that difficult.

Buy it now.

Most shippers really like to rip off the buyer with shipping charges. I can tell you from experience that it only costs about 83 cents to ship several minis. IN. A. BOX. So, if they charge more than $2.00, then look elsewhere. And no more than about 50 cents per additional mini. This, of course, isn't including the huge minis.

Be very, very glad that you did not succumb to the plastic crack. I've got just over 1,000 of the wee beasties now. I've even started sending packages to strangers I meet over the internet, and allowing them to send packages to my home, just so I can get more of them! Curse my luck for buying two Dragoneye boosters on a whim one day, and pulling out a Thayan Knight and a Black Dragon! I was lost before I even knew what was happening!

Feh. I bought like 12 packs of plastic crack for essentially ONE freakin' mini!! But then I refused to pay $24 to a dealer for that mini (Mounted Paladin) when I could buy 3 BOXES from another dealer!!!

Now to sort the darn things out!

As I buy my Underdark figures, I'm really missing something that can easily store these suckers. Using standard storeage bins but find that they're not the most useful things to have in terms of organization.

Would still love to see some inexpensive terrain too! I bought the bridge from Heroscope and was impressed by how useful the trees are in a D&D miniature sized setting.

Love to see some more tiles that have the density of the material from the D&D basic boxed set too.

How about multi-packs, like a pack of elves? A pack of dwarves? A pack with a standard adventuring group?

Random just isn't that thrilling for me.

4 words for you: Never going to happen.

General Request

I've seen a few slams and mean comments to people over the whole "non-random" thing, and I'd like to ask for a cease and desist on this. I can appreciate that the opinion has been voiced before, many times, but being spiteful or sarcastic in the response isn't the way to go. All I'm asking is for some empathy on it the next time someone brings it up. Safe to say, the fact there won't be a non-random selection has been brought home pretty clearly in this thread. :)

Thanks, all.
